The HP Planet Partners printing supplies return and recycling program provides free, responsible ways to return your empty HP inkjet and LaserJet print
cartridges for recycling. Return options include HP authorized retail recycling location collection points, shipping materials (postage paid labels,
envelopes and bulk collection boxes) ordered through this web site and pre-addressed labels included within the boxes of all HP LaserJet print cartridges.

The HP Planet Partner return and recycling program for HP printing supplies has been operating since 1991 and today
extends to customers in more than 47 countries, regions and territories. In 2007, more than 54 million HP inkjet and
LaserJet print cartridges were returned worldwide for recycling through the HP Planet Partners program (more than 4.5 million per month),
representing a weight of 38 million pounds. Since the program began, more than 198 million HP LaserJet and HP inkjet print
cartridge materials had been returned and recycled worldwide, representing a weight greater than 297 million lbs.

What do we do with items returned for recycling? Returned supplies are sorted and shredded. Plastics and metals from recycled HP
print cartridges have been used to make a range of everyday new products such as auto body parts, clothes hangers, fence posts,
microchip processing trays, roof tiles, serving trays, shoe soles, and spools. No HP print cartridges returned through the Planet
Partners program are sent to landfill.
