Your Responsibilities

You are the generator of any Eligible Product that you send to HP for recycling, and you are responsible for properly packaging and managing Eligible Product before receipt by HP. You are responsible to:
  1. Include only one Eligible Products per package, and no other items;
  2. Follow the minimum packaging instructions below, and any additional packaging steps* that you identify as necessary. (*Example: Business / professional customers, attach appropriate universal waste label if applicable-see http://mass.gov/dep/service/regulations/310cmr30.pdf or http://www.ct.gov/dep/lib/dep/regulations/22a/22a-449(c)100through119.pdf for UW info.)
When your package is ready, follow the steps under "Shipping".

Minimum Packaging Instructions

  1. Select a corrugated cardboard box (not a single wall box) which is sturdy and free of damage. Consider using the box that your replacement HP lamp assembly was shipped in, or similar size box.
  2. Place Eligible Product in the box, filling void spaces with crumpled newspaper / cushioning material.
  3. Tape all seams securely closed with packaging tape, so that Eligible Product is expected to remain in the package and protected during transit.

Shipping

  1. With packaging tape, securely affix to the box the prepaid shipping label. Place packaging tape so that it does not block the information on the label.
  2. Drop off your completed package at an authorized United Parcel Service location—see www.ups.com/content/us/en/locations/ for UPS store, drop box, or retail alliance locations near you.
