Trade-in server and new ProLiant server purchase specifications

  1. Qualified trade-in servers include any server* from Compaq, HP or any other manufacturer with a CPU speed of 600 MHz or higher. Each qualified trade-in server must be replaced by a new HP ProLiant server.

Qualified new HP ProLiant options:

New HP ProLiant options in the following categories are eligible for up to 10% * trade-in cash back when purchased for configuration in a qualified new HP ProLiant server :

Promotion overview

  1. Visit HP's online quote-tool. You will be asked for basic details on your server trade-in and server purchase, your country of origin, and special pricing
  2. If you would like to proceed and obtain a formal ProLiant trade-in quote, please select "Proceed to Quote Process".
  3. Review the program Terms and Conditions.
  4. Upon the acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, you will be taken to the registration page, which will gather basic contact information.
  5. Provide additional details regarding your server purchase and trade-in. This information will be summarized for your review. Once complete, click "Submit for Quote."
  6. The trade-in and purchase information that you submit will be reviewed and validated by an HP Program Administrator**. Your final trade-in quote and confirmation email will be emailed to you within approximately 3 business days from the date that you complete the on-line process.
  7. Your quote and confirmation email will outline your trade-in cash back allowance along with instructions on how to accept the quote and execute the trade. You will have 30 days to accept the quote. If you do not contact Trade-In Headquarters within 30 days, your quote will automatically be cancelled.
  8. To accept the quote, complete the “End User Information” blanks as requested, sign the quote, and fax it to 770-925-9064, Attn: HP Server Trade-In Manual Quotes Processing. (Alternately, you may scan and email your quote acceptance to (hpservertradein@marketvelocity.com). Only a qualified end-user may accept a trade-in quote as the owner of the trade-in equipment.
  9. No earlier than 30 days before and no later than 90 days after the quote and confirmation email date, purchase your eligible new HP ProLiant server(s) or lease the new server(s) through HP Financial Services. Within 90 days of receiving the quote and confirmation email, fax a copy of the invoice confirming your new server purchase to 770-925-9064, Attn: HP Server Trade-In Manual Quotes Processing. (Alternately, you may scan and email your quote acceptance to (hpservertradein@marketvelocity.com). If your trade-in is an HP e3000, please include a signed copy of the Software License Transfer (SLT). For Software License Transfer (SLT) forms and assistance please visit http://www.hp.com/go/slt or call (408) 447-4185. Trade-In Headquarters will contact you to coordinate pickup of trade-in equipment. Pickup must be executed within 90 days from the date of our quote and confirmation email. Quantity limits may apply for shipping, handing and recycling paid by HP.
  10. After we receive your trade-in equipment, it will be inspected to see that it is complete and in good working order. A physical inventory will also be performed and the results compared to the product information that was provided in your quote request.
  11. If there are no discrepancies and the equipment meets program eligibility standards, a check will be issued within 45 days after completion of the trade-in process. The check amount will reflect the agreed upon cash back amount outlined in the quote and confirmation email and will be sent to you or your authorized reseller.
*In order to legally move the OEM Microsoft Windows Server operating system purchased with the source server, the customer must be up-to-date with the Microsoft Software Assurance maintenance plan with regard to the Microsoft Windows Server operating system installed on their source server. For further information from Microsoft please visit http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/programs/sa/default.mspx.

**Discounts on new c-Class equipment through Big Deal, Channel, Contract and other special pricing programs will reduce the cash back trade-in %. Discrepancy resolution

Upon inspection, if it is determined that the equipment traded-in is not in good working order or does not meet program eligibility standards, you will be notified and provided with a modified trade-in cash back quote based on the condition of the equipment. If you accept, then the new quoted trade-in cash back allowance amount will apply. If you decline, a recycling fee will be charged or the equipment will be returned at your expense. HP Trade-In Headquarters will manage all discrepancies.
